Nugget’s Smoke Free Areas
The
Carson Nugget has decided to make a
smoke free area for their non-smoking
guests. They had several requests from
their customers asking for a place to be
able to play the slot machines and not
be inundated with smoke, so they
listened and guests are excited about
the changes.
They have decided to have a 3,000 square
foot area that is smoke free, and will
have slot machines as well as a bar that
will offer healthy alternatives to the
standard fare. Patrons will be able to
choose from fresh fruits, vegetables and
herbs that can be put in their cocktails
to give them a healthier edge.
The casino will be celebrating the
opening of the nonsmoking area Wednesday
at 6 pm. The bar is dedicated to Hop and
Howard Adams who first bought the Carson
Nugget in 1967- and it is still owned by
their family.
The casino is also planning on bring in
new lighting, removing old catwalks, and
various other projects throughout the
year. They will be pausing for the
summer season, which is their busiest
time of year, so as to not disrupt
business or inconvenience their
customers.
They have already gotten some feedback
from people who say they are excited
that they will be getting a place that
they can play without having to breathe
in the cigarette smoke that usually
comes with it. They say it is a welcome
change.
