Slot Machines Coming

Anytime that someone announces that there are slot machines coming in you get those people who are excited and those that are not. Many times it seems as those that are against the expansion of slot machine gambling have many more numbers than those that are for it, and they seem to dominate the news and the decisions that are made because of this factor.

However, in some cases, it seems as though there is very little resistance at all – where the neighboring communities seem to want to embrace the slot machines and the benefits that they see coming from them. This most assuredly seems to be the case with the Valley Forge Convention Center. They said that they wanted slot machines and it almost seemed as if the state couldn’t give them to them fast enough.

The convention center had asked to be able to bring in 500 slot machines to their location. The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has already approved it and now the convention center just needs to bring them in. State regulators say that they are just as excited to approve the slot machines as the location is in getting them.

The state legislature is already behind the idea of slot machines and has already allowed thousands of them to come into the state as a way to give their residents a break on taxes. When all is said and done they will be awarding 14 slot machines and casino licenses to various establishments across the state. Valley Forge got one of the two slot machine licenses that were meant for resorts.
