Slot Machine Winnings Stolen

It seems that no matter where you go these days you just can’t feel safe. A 39 year old man recently found that out the hard way.

The victim had been playing the slot machines and had won a sizeable amount of money, and police think that this was the motive for the attack. His winnings were worth more than £10,000, so it was not a small prize that they took from him.

The gentleman was walking along Skerton Road in Old Trafford when he was approached by three men who robbed him at knifepoint. He had won his money in Ireland and had come back home and changed the money from Euros into Pounds.

Two of the men held him to the ground while the other held a knife to his throat. They searched him and took all of his winnings. He was unable to identify the men because they were wearing dark clothes and balaclavas.

Police say that they are sure that he was targeted and that they had stolen his money because they knew about the win somehow. The police are asking for anyone who has any information at all to please come forward and let the police know.
