Foxwoods Petition

The Foxwoods Casino is looking to get an extension and chances are that they are gong to get it. The casino as asked for more time in which to make their slot machines available, and they only have a short time left to get that extension. They have said that they need another 24 months – which is the max allowed – to make the slot machines where they should be – and are hoping for the best. 

They will have to prove to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board that they really need the extension and they must answer those questions that are put forth by the board. Currently they were given a year from the time they got their license to bring in the slot machines, but they have not been able to make that deadline. 

The slot machine casino is not planning on changing anything other than the date that they are due to have the slot machines in place – other than that they are keeping it as is. The boards and counsels must give their approval first and then the Gaming Control Board will have the final say. If they do not get the extension and don’t have the slot machines in place like they are supposed to – they could be looking at some serious consequences – including losing their license. 

Foxwoods already has a proven slot machine record and their casino in Connecticut is hugely successful. It is currently one of the two largest casinos in the world, and they are planning on offering a wealth of slot machines and other games to their clients.
