The
investment company Real Africa Holdings
(RAH) has announced that they have had
headline earnings per share of 12.8c for
the six months ending in September. This
is a huge jump for the company as the
year previously they had basic earnings
per share of 19c – and now they are
54.2c. The hotel and slot machine gaming
group Sun International owns 61.3%
interest in the company, and they are
seemingly very happy with the increase
in pricing.
The company’s core slot machine casino
interests are what are continuing to
perform well through Real Africa and
Afrisun Leisure. They have had growth in
both their slot machine and gaming
revenues and in their profitability.
They are currently expanding one of
their slot machine casinos and are
expecting it to be completed in July
2007. They are increasing the number of
slot machines from 1,831 to 2,500 as
well.
Several of the slot machine clients of
theirs are looking to expand – with
Carnival City expanding the Carnival
Club Hotel – which will increase the
number of rooms from 48 to 118. Other
slot machine properties are changing
addresses – with the gaming board
approving Afrisun Leisure to purchase
Zonwabise Resort Holdings Limited.
