Machine Regulations Are Tough
All of
the slot machine parlors and casinos
must be completely regulated and tested
before they can open. Governor Ed
Rendell feels that they are going to
have some of the strictest rules and
regulations anywhere. According to the
Pennsylvania Gaming Board – they aren’t
taking any chances with the slot
machines or their employees.
Each
person who wants to work in the slot
machine casino must be fingerprinted and
undergo a state review that in some
cases will be very tough. The more
seniority or heightened exposure to cash
the employee will face working at the
slot machine casino the deeper the
background check will be. They will be
looking for criminal histories,
delinquent taxes, really anything that
might deem them a danger. If they have
had a felony conviction in the last
fifteen years, the slot machine casino
cannot hire them at all.
The
state has a list of regulations that the
slot machine casinos have to abide by as
well, before they will approve their
opening. One of the things they have to
ensure is that there are two secure
doors and two security clearances before
any one can enter or leave the counting
rooms. Also, security cameras must cover
the entire slot machine casino floor,
including watching employees who handle
cash, coupons and tickets. Every slot
machine in the casino must be wired to a
mainframe computer that the state
controls so that they can check the logs
to see every penny gambled and paid out.
