Slot Machine Addicts Upset

For everyone out there that is thrilled that there are so many slot machines popping up all over the country, know that there is a distinct group of people who are not happy. In fact, they are anything but. It would be those that are addicted to slot machines. They fight it on a daily basis, but they seem to be following them wherever they go.

Slot machine addicts quite frequently move to get away from the slot machines, so that they won’t be tempted to play. As with any addiction, you try and remove yourself from the situation which will only help you with your recovery. However, this is not to be for the slot machine addict.

It seems that they move somewhere that there are no slot machines, only to be bombarded with them when someone decides to bring them in. The influx of tribal gaming has made it even harder to escape them. Some states allow you to put yourself on a list that will exclude you from being able to go in, and if you are caught inside of one you will be arrested for trespassing. However, this doesn’t really solve the problem.

This merely puts a barrier up – and only if you are caught. There are plenty of slot machine addicts who say they still go to the casinos even though they have been banned and spend money they don’t have. So although they realize that people want to gamble, and that many don’t have a problem with it, they would simply prefer to be left alone, and to stop any more slot machines from coming in.
