Gaming Company
from Iowa
Excited By Bid Win
Peninsula Gaming LLC is thrilled to be
on the receiving end of a contract to
develop a new slot machine casino near
Wichita in Kansas. The Iowa based company said that they
would have it completed in five years
and would have slot machines, a world
class equine facility, gaming tables and
a hotel – so that they would be able to
meet the needs of everyone who might
want to come visit them.
The state owned slot machine
casino will be located near Mulvane and
will have plenty to offer folks –
including dining and entertainment
options.
The
state will receive 22% of the profits
from the slot machine casino and
commissioners said that the reason they
chose Peninsula over the other bids was
that their location was so close to
Wichita
– they felt that the casino had the
ability to make much more money. The
other company that they were competing
against for the slot machine license was
Global Gaming Solutions and they were
out of Ada, Oklahoma – they wanted to
locate it about 32 miles from Wichita,
while the other was closer to 18 miles
outside of the city.
The
company now has to undergo a complete
background check of all of their
employees and officers to ensure that
there are no felons or criminals in
their employ which would negate their
getting the slot machine license. Two of
their executive employees were charged
with misdemeanors stemming from
political campaign contributions, but
they have already said that if
Peninsula was chosen that
they would leave the company so as to
not ruin their chances of getting the
slot machine license.
