College Campuses: The New Slot Machine Casino

Whether or not it was intentionally done is not the question, what is important is that t is happening. I am referring to the influx of online gambling that can be found at college campuses all across the world. No matter what time of day you walk around most dorms, you can find people playing the slot machines online.

Many students like to play in the wee hours of the night, some like to play at the library; no matter where they choose to play – they are playing. A recent survey has found that in the past ten years that online casino gambling has been made available to the general public, the amount of college students that have started playing has grown exponentially.

One of the most interesting parts of the online gaming community is that this particular generation will not have grown up with the concept that in order to play a slot machine you have to go to a casino to do it. They are so used to the idea that casinos and slot machines are as close as a click of your mouse, that most have never even set foot inside of a casino before.

Each year the number of online slot machine players on the college campus has risen. Last year alone, 16% of all college age males had admitted to playing cards online at least once a week. This does not include the female population, nor does it include those who go sporadically. These numbers greatly increase when you add other groups into the mix. The way many see it now is that college campuses are become one big land based casino, and they don’t see it changing any time soon.
