Harrah’s Slot Machine Freeze Angers Many
The
new Harrah’s Chester Casino is not off
to a great start – they seem to be
having some slot machine troubles.
Harrah’s rebooted their system and froze
up 60% of their slot machines – leaving
many customers angry and out of their
winnings.
Harrah’s says that although there were
problems with the slot machines, they
plan on verifying every machine and
paying out to their customers what is
owed them. People said that once their
slot machines froze up they had to sit
there for hours and wait to see if they
would get their payouts. Some left
without getting their payout at all,
while others waited.
One woman waited two hours to get a $20
payout, but said the woman next to her
had to leave – and walked away from her
slot machine having been owed over $200.
One woman waited more than four hours
and still hadn’t received her $58 that
was owed her. She says that she will
never play the Harrah’s slot machines
again.
Harrah’s said that yes the machines did
freeze, but they are fully aware of the
problems and were able to get all of
their activity off of the slot machines.
They released a statement to the effect
that everyone will get what is due them.
