Mount Airy Slot Machines Need Help

Mount Airy Resort and Casino is looking for employees, and they are using all available resources to get the assistance that they need. They have opened an employment office in Scranton, but for those that it might not be convenient – such as Monroe residents – the company is allowing them to apply online for positions within the slot machine casino.

Applicants for the slot machine casino can either apply online at www.mtairyresort.com or they can go to one of their service centers. The casino is taking applications as they say they have more than a thousand job openings, although they are not saying what positions are open or how much they are paying.

The facility, as well as its 200 room hotel, will be opening this fall and they don’t have nearly enough staff hired yet to run the hotel and the slot machine casino. The owners of the casino said they have seen a lot of interest from people regarding positions within the casino, which is why they have taken steps to make applying even easier.

They also said that it is important to remember that not every position that needs to be filled will be filled with someone directly involved in gambling. Some positions will work with the slot machines or on the gaming floor, but there are also positions within retail, the hotel, etc. that will need to be filled.

They are also planning on attending job fairs, as well as doing everything they can to work with local residents to get as many as possible gainfully employed there before they look outside the area.
