Playtech Moving onto Land
Playtech has announced that their
subsidiary, Videobet, has entered into
contract with Entretenimiento De Mexico,
S.A. de C.V. (EMex) to license out their
server based gaming products. Playtech
is widely known as being one of the top
of the line designer, developer, and
licensors for the slot machine and
gaming industry.
Videobet’s product will now be in all of
the current and future gaming products
of the Mexican casino operator EMex. The
contract is for three years, with an
option to renew. The move will put
Playtech and their subsidiary not only
in Mexico, but it will enable them to
have a presence with EMex in Latin
America and online. Being able to move
into the Latin American market is a
first for a Mexican based group of this
nature.
EMex is the single largest slot machine
operator in the Mexican market at this
time. They have more than 4,000 slot
machines and over 180,000 registered
players. The new product from Videobet
will increase their offerings, by adding
in a suite of 45 games for their players
to choose from.
EMex likes it because of the real-time
management back-end operation that it
offers. The new software will enable
them to have control not otherwise
offered in a slot machine system, and it
enables cross selling and synergies with
Playtech’s other products that can be
found both online and in mobile
products.
