Slot Machines and Booze: A Match Made in Heaven

Some people think that they just can’t catch a break when it comes to playing their slot machines. They say that they have been trying to take away smoking and slot machines, and now some won’t let you drink while you play the slot machine either.

However, the times they are a changing, because now you can go to some casinos and play your slot machines and drink at the same time. It is a local matter, to be decided by each individual casino as to whether or not they want their slot machine players drinking alcohol. The casino will now be offering booze with their slot machines and are hoping to do so within the month.

The City Council has decided that you can play the slot machines and drink alcohol in Coquitlam. The Boulevard Casino will now be offering alcoholic beverages to their slot machine players, as they say they cannot compete with other casinos if they are at a disadvantage. They say that their customers have to leave their slot machines to go get a drink if they want one, and many know that dedicated slot machine players have no intention of doing that after they have been playing a slot machine for a while.

Many are not happy about the vote; they say that slot machines and alcohol should be kept separate as those with a problem with gambling will not have the ability to say no if they have been drinking. Residents say that the lottery corporation is always saying for people to know their limits, and then they allow them to drink – they say they are setting up gamblers for failure.
