Slot Machine Deal Complete
Playtech has announced that their
subsidiary, Videobet, has entered into a
long term licensing contract with
Entretenimiento De Mexico (EMex). The
three year contract will enable EMex to
add Videobet’s server program to their
slot machines. EMex will also be cross
selling other Playtech products by
offering online casino and mobile gaming
to the Latin American market.
These steps are truly unprecedented for
the casino group, and a first for any
Mexican casino group. EMex is currently
the largest video slot machine operator
in the Mexican market. The group has
more than four thousand slot machines,
as well as more than 180,000 players.
Videobet will be able to assist EMex on
their goal of bringing more slot machine
options to their customers, as they just
released their new product that has 45
games in August. Between the two
companies, and the promotion of the
third, the Latin American slot machine
market could become saturated with their
products.
Playtech is incredibly excited about the
deal as it allows them to open up
another market for the company, while
strengthening their land based
offerings. They said that by
diversifying what they already offer,
they can increase their customer loyalty
to slot machines and the market.
