New Slot Machines Not That Exciting

The new Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs is exciting if you have never played a slot machine before, but for those that may have made their way over to Atlantic City, it wasn’t nearly as exciting. There are bus trips available, so that you can go with a group if you would like – they stay for somewhere around five or six hours – play the casino games – and then head home. Some leave the casinos a little richer, and some leave them a little poorer.

The Mohegan Sun has horse racing and slot machines, but not much else to hold your attention. The restaurants were expensive, and the bus trip was long and too much money – according to some old pros. It does have a players club for the slot machines, for those who are planning on coming often. You can use the points gained from playing the slot machines towards food, flat screen TVs, hotel rooms, etc.

However, the décor is a bit too drab for some who were looking for the next Atlantic City – and the music a bit outdated. When playing the slot machines on the no smoking floor, there was hardly anyone there; although, it was really nice to be able to spend time at the slot machines without being asphyxiated by cigarette smoke. The employees blend into the backgrounds, and there are no free alcoholic drinks while playing.

However, there is nothing else to do other than the slot machines. Horse racing doesn’t start up until March, and all of the other stuff that is coming in addition to the slot machines isn’t there yet.
