Tulane Slot Machines?

Tulane University Mississippi Coast Campus is offering something you don’t see every day, slot machine classes. The campus is jumping on the proverbial bandstand and is offering classes in slot machines and casinos for those who are interested in learning about this part of our culture.

There will be seven slot machine casino type classes for their spring ’07 semester, and the school expects people to want to come to learn about something you may never even have played before. The classes will be lecture driven in nature, and will cover the history of gambling to modern slot machine technology.

The program is a first for the school, but it builds on last year’s program in which you could receive a BA in casino resort management. There is also an AA degree and a post grad program.

Harrah’s Entertainment is even jumping on the idea, and “has established a scholarship in [slot machine] casino resort management for ethnic minorities.” The last day for registration into this school is on January 26th.
