Who's Slot Machines are Better – Gulfstream or
Philadelphia Park?
With
slot machines coming in all across the
country, it seems only fitting that some
of the casinos would start comparing
themselves to other casinos. In this
case, we are looking at Gulfstream Park
and Philadelphia Park – to see who has
it over the other in terms of slot
machines and horses.
Firstly, you can’t beat the weather,
hands down if you are going to play the
slot machines and watch horses, there is
no place like Florida. The track is
nicer, and so is the weather.
There is also a big difference in the
buildings that the slot machines are
housed in. Philadelphia Park is in the
process of changing their structure, and
moving their slot machines into a new
casino. The current building is just a
temporary option, until the slot
machines’ new home is ready.
Gulfstream is not fully ready either,
but they are nearing completion. Their
slot machines are mostly in, and they
have just announced that they will be
bringing in more soon. They have almost
finished the final construction and then
it will be a much nicer experience for
most patrons. The days of the old
grandstand and lower paying patron are
gone forever.
The slot machines are not alone at the
track, there are also restaurants, and
bars, etc. all things to make the
experience more enjoyable – but it is
just tougher for the northeast to
compete with sunny Florida. It is also
tough for a town to compete slot machine
wise when there are so many other
options for them in Miami.
