It used to be that the poker players had all of the fun – now the slot machine players get to as well. Some people don’t even realize that slot machines now have tournaments, and those that do don’t understand how they work. There is actually quite a bit of confusion that surrounds the slot machine tournaments as it is a fairly new idea.

The biggest thing about the slot machine tournaments is that you are all playing a bank of the same kind of slot machine, but are hitting the spin reel button as fast as they can and as often as they can. Some slot machines have a buy in that can be literally any amount, and some casinos run free ones.

Depending on where you decide to play your slot machine tournament will determine the rules of the game. Not every casino offers the slot machine tournaments, so really you have to check out your options before going. The idea is that players buy in, sit at an assigned slot machine and then hit that button as fast and as furious as you can.

Those that have the highest point totals are usually the winners of the tournament. Some casinos say that they simply offer the tournaments because their players ask them to. They say that their players like to be able to compete against each other rather than just the slot machine itself. The players admit that it is very exciting and a whole lot of fun to participate in, and that it just shakes things up a bit to do it a little differently.
