Analysts Think
PA Approval Good Move
With Pennsylvania now offering table games in
addition to their slot machines,
analysts say that this was a really
smart move on the part of the state.
They say that investors are going to be
more interested in these companies that
are offering the games and the slot
machines as it makes the state more of a
gaming destination instead of just a
place to play slot machines.
Obviously the loser in this is
Atlantic City,
who even after all of the states were
adding slot machines still had table
games to bring people in. Now they don’t
have anything that the PA casinos don’t
have except for a boardwalk and a beach.
The state is bound to lose the majority
of their PA customers and is probably
going to lose many of their New York customers as
well. PA will have one casino an hour
outside of Manhattan, making it much more feasible than
driving down to AC.
The
new bill is very favorable to the
casinos as well. The state will make a
lot of money off of the licensing fees
as well as the revenues from the games.
This goes on top of the revenue they are
already getting for their slot machines
– making them probably one of the most
lucrative deals that the state could
have made.
Analysts say that by offering such a
large variety of games across the board
as well as how many can be offered is a
nice way to play it. It keeps those
larger casinos with the more slot
machines still larger – while giving the
smaller casinos their crack at table
games as well.
