Kentucky
Still Has Issues
The
state of Kentucky is always in the
news with something having to do with
gambling. It doesn’t matter how you
slice it, if gambling or slot machines
are involved than you are going to have
to listen to something involving
Kentucky. First
is was how they were going to keep
online gambling out of their state, and
that they were going to seize more than
140 online gambling domain names to keep
their residents safe. Then it was how
they were going to keep those same
residents safe by offering slot machines
and gambling within their own state. Can
anybody say monopoly?
But
now they can’t seem to agree on what
their expansion should be in the world
of gambling. Some want to see slot
machines brought in to clubs and bars,
while others say that it has to be
casinos and gambling destinations. There
are concerns from all parties as to how
they might move forward with their
options, but as of right now they seem
to be at an impasse.
There are many who want to see slot
machines across the state as they say
that it is good for business and that
they will get more revenue from them if
they are more apparent. They say that
they should be accessible to all
consumers and by placing them around the
state they will be.
But
then there is the other side that says
that by putting slot machines on every
corner you are asking for trouble. They
are worried that crime and gambling
addiction will increase and they argue
that if you are going to bring them in
at all that they should be in certain
locations and not accessible to
everyone.
