Craps
Is Not As Confusing As It Seems
Many
people look at the game of Craps and
think that anything involving a dice has
to be confusing. They might know slot
machines or cards, but don’t know much
about Craps. Experts have found that
those people that do play are more
likely to just play that, which keeps
with the tradition of poker players
sticking to poker, and slot machine
players sticking to slot machines.
However, Craps is just like any other
casino game, you have to know the rules
and a basic understanding of the game,
and once you have those you won’t have
any problems. When you look at the
table, there are many places to put your
bet, and one person will be throwing the
dice. Whatever the dice end up coming
up, that is the winning number.
The dice are normal dice, with each side
of the die having an equal chance of
coming up when rolled. There are two
dice used, so there are 36 combinations
that can come up, with the numbers
falling between two and twelve. However,
there is only one way to make the dice
come up either of those numbers, so if
they come up they pay more than any of
the other numbers. The odds then
increase from there with two ways to
make three or eleven, three ways to make
four or ten, four ways to make five or
nine, five ways to make six or eight,
and six ways to make seven.
This then equates into odds, and you can
figure out what your odds are to try and
make any of the combinations. Since the
number three has two combinations that
will make it come up, its odds are three
to one. The number four has three
combinations, so its odds are two to
one, and then it goes on from there. By
knowing this information, you get a
better idea of how to bet if you want to
take a chance at winning, and how to bet
if you want that chance to be better or
bigger.
