Players Considering Class Action Against
NETeller
NETeller
has been in a whole load of legal action
with the US Government due to the
passing of the Unlawful Internet
Gambling Enforcement Act. The government
has gone after the creators of the
online gambling payment site, and froze
all of their funds. NETeller has been
attempting to work out a deal with the
government so that they can return the
funds to their customers that the
government has frozen.
However, it looks as though their
customers are tired of waiting. There
has been a group of players that have
started gathering on Yahoo! in one of
their groups in order to come up with
ways of possibly getting their money
back from NETeller. There are many
players that have a lot of money sitting
there, and they would like to get that
back.
Because of the lack of movement toward
getting them their money back, they are
now discussing legal action in a class
action suit against NETeller, and they
have been trying to get more information
on how this might be a possibility for
them. Now the group thinks that people
have been logging into the site from
NETeller trying to urge them not to do
anything against the company and they
are taking steps to keep unauthorized
people on their site.
They are looking to bring in 150 people
initially to join the suit, and then
they are going to open it to other
members that have money sitting there.
The woman starting it has $15,000
sitting there, and she says that there
are people who have more in there and
some who have less, but it does not
matter because they all want their money
back.
