Black Back in
Trouble
It would seem
that being charged with a crime would
not necessarily cause most people to
straighten up and fly right. There are
those people who will not only go out
and do the same thing again, but will
not serve the terms of their sentence or
follow those rules that kept them out of
jail in the first place. Twin Falls
resident Dale Robert Black is one of
those people.
Black had been charged with unlawful
possession of slot machines last
November, and was sentenced. He was put
on probation at that time. The Pioneer
Club was raided by police after a long
and detailed undercover investigation by
police, and they seized several slot
machines as well as cash from the raid.
Black got off easy, only having to pay
fees and fines for having the illegal
slot machines in his possession.
However, it seems that he did not
necessarily see fit to comply with the
terms of his sentence. According to the
court he still owed about $600 for the
fines and fees and had only seen his
probation office once.
Judge Harris heard the case and feeling
that Black was not holding up his end of
the bargain told him that because he had
not complied that he had to pay an
additional $100 in fines and was to
serve four days of jail time. He was
very clear that Black broke the law by
having the illegal slot machines and
that he was going to pay the
consequences.
