Table Games
for Charity
The
Rivers Casino is holding a test night
for their table games on July 6th.
The casino is thrilled that they are
able to finally offer the table games
and they know that they are bound to be
one of the more exciting offerings that
come their way. They know that the
people of
Pennsylvania
want table games and they are thrilled
to be the first ones to offer it. As
with slot machines when you have your
first night open running them, you have
to have a test night. However, under
state law the casino cannot benefit from
that test night – so they usually give
the money to some charity.
The
Rivers Casino has chosen the Mario
Lemieux Foundation to be the recipient
of their funds. The table games will be
available starting at 6 am on July 8th
to the general public. The charity is
going to benefit from eight hours of
“practice” play and the slot machines
and restaurants will be open to the
general public during that same time. If
the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board
likes the way that it goes the public
will be able to try them out as well.
The
foundation was chosen by the casino
because of all of the good that it does.
The casino said that the foundation had
“outstanding philanthropic work and
substantial contributions to the
community.” They raise money for cancer
and neonatal research as well as Austin’s Playroom project
which allows for play rooms for siblings
in medical facilities – something any
parent can understand a desperate need
for.
