What You Bet Matters in the End
Many
play the slot machines in hope of
winning a big jackpot, or really any
jackpot at all, but it is important to
know your machine. Sometimes people will
play the minimum amount, not realizing
that in order to get the big jackpot if
you hit it, that you must be playing the
maximum amount allowed to be bet per
game. This is an important fact when you
are standing looking at a winning slot
machine, but you have not bet the
maximum.
It does not matter how much you play
into the slot machine based on the RNG
or the outcome, those do not factor into
how the machine hits. The outcome of a
spin, or how the symbols land on the
actual pay line, is not affected by
whether or not you play the minimum or
the maximum number of coins. However,
the amount you win is directly related
to the amount you bet.
If you play the maximum number of coins
and you hit the jackpot, you will win
the full jackpot. If you have only bet
the minimum, or anything less than the
maximum, then you will not win the full
jackpot, you will only win a portion of
it. If you play one of the slot machines
that has a combination
multi-coin/multi-line and buy-a-pay it
can get much more confusing, but it
still works out the same.
Either way, the most important thing to
remember is that if you are playing the
slot machine you must carefully read the
fine print on the machine to see what is
required to win what. I think you will
be hard pressed to find a slot machine
that is willing to pay out the full
jackpot when you have only bet the
minimum – otherwise everyone would do
so.
