Sale of Lottery Will Lead to Gambling

The idea that the state does not allow slot machines is a big issue for many, as they fear that if someone is buying the lottery for as much money as they have been talking about (somewhere around $14 billion), they are going to expect to be able to add slot machines to the state. They also want to ensure that the annual $1 billion payments to public education won’t stop with someone else running the show.

The Governor says that the residents have nothing to worry about, and that the amount of money raised from the sale of the lottery would be more than enough to fund cancer research, health insurance, and education.
