Pacific Poker Doing Well
Pacific Poker and their parent company
888 Holdings PLC are doing very well
despite the US Government’s ban of
online gambling. In a recent statement
to the London Stock Exchange that
profiled their trading, they pointed out
that they have done extremely well last
year, and completely turned themselves
around after the US ban.
They said they have added mobile phone
gaming, sports betting, like poker
clubs, etc. They are also in talks with
Ladbrokes PLC, but declined to answer
where they were exactly.
888 Holdings was actually one of the
first companies to withdraw their online
gaming services from US customers after
the Unlawful Internet Gambling
Enforcement Act of 2006 was introduced.
Immediately following that move, their
average daily first time depositors fell
by 37%. However, they are now 35% higher
than that low. They also have their
average daily deposits up 35% from that
same time, when they fell 50%. They have
brought up their poker players from a
drop of 39% to an increase of 27%.
The company has also decided to move
more into Europe and sports betting.
They were granted their online sports
betting license in December in Italy,
and is planning on being fully online
there late this year. They are also now
offering a mobile casino with slot
machines, blackjack, and roulette – the
most popular games online right now.
