RealTime Gaming Sold?
There
is a rumor floating around that RealTime
Gaming has been sold, yet no one seems
to have an actual answer as to whether
or not it was. Many think that the
company should come out and answer the
question as to whether or not they have
in fact been sold to another company,
but as of yet no one from the company
has confirmed or denied the report –
leaving many to think that perhaps they
were.
The online gambling software developer
has supposedly come under new ownership
and is being moved to another country,
but for months the rumors have been
swirling and still no one knows. Several
recent reports would suggest that RTG
has been sold, especially since the
company’s web site has been drastically
downgraded, and an affiliate manager
said that the company had been sold but
didn’t have any details as to the deal.
One source says that the company was
sold because the owners did not want to
deal with the new US sanctions,
especially since the US was arresting
online gambling company owners.
Supposedly they didn’t want to risk the
legal ramifications, so they sold the
company to a buyer outside of the US.
Reportedly they wanted to move to Costa
Rica because they have a sub company
running there and offered for their
employees to move there with them.
Most did not, and although some have
remained on as high level executives or
development team members, the rest left
with two or three months of salary and
benefits. Again, the company has not
confirmed any of these reports; they are
just hearsay, so everyone waits to see
what will become of the gaming giant.
