VIP Leaves US Market
It
seems that they are dropping like flies
these days with more and more online
slot machine and gambling sites dropping
out of the United States’ market. The
latest casualty of the “War on Online
Gambling” this week was VIP. The online
sports betting giant has decided not to
accept US or Canadian customers any
longer.
The company is known for their sites
such as VIP, Nine, and BetGameDay, but
they feel that with the legal issues
surrounding betting in the United States
it would be in their best interest to
walk away now. They were working with
various payment processors to see what
could be done for their clients, but
have found that this is the best thing
for the company.
Some thought that the company could not
move into international marketing
because of their relationship with
Leisure & Gaming but it seems that is
not the case and that they will be going
after international sports bettors. They
have put out a press release that says
they will no longer be accepting new
customers from the United States, and
that they would be focusing on their
established preferred customers instead
as they are the ones who got them where
they were.
They also said that they would not be
accepting any deposits from Canadian
customers and that they had until April
1st of this year to use any funds they
currently had. As of that date they
would be closing their accounts and
refunding any money left over.
