Slot Machines
are Getting Company
The
State of Pennsylvania has one of
the biggest influxes of slot machines
coming in – roughly 61,000 slot machines
will be gracing their casinos when they
are all up and running. However, it
appears that slot machines were not
enough for the state, and they quickly
moved forward to bring in table games as
an expansion of the gambling that the
slot machines gave them. The casinos
waited with baited breath to see if the
measure would pass, and as it did, they
were quick to see if they could get
their slot machines a little bit of
company.
The
Rivers Casino is one of the first to
jump on the idea. The casino has put
forth their application for table games,
and would like to bring in 86 of them to
join the slot machines that they already
have. The Pennsylvania State Gaming
Board has their proposal for review and
consideration, and will be letting them
know if they have been approved or not.
The casino said that they will be able
to hire many more people than they have
now, as the table games will take
dealers, managers, supervisors, etc. to
run – in addition to the personnel they
currently have for their slot machines.
They
already have more than a thousand
employees, but they are looking to hire
roughly another 500 in order to support
the games. Needless to say, residents
that live near the casino hope that they
get the table games as they would love
for there to be more jobs available to
them.
