Bingo
is Still Social
With more
and more people moving to the internet
to play bingo and slot machines, some
are wondering what has become of the
game. They say that part of bingo was
the winning, but others say that it was
truly a competitive game – people
waiting with anticipation – hoping to be
the first to yell “Bingo!”
But with much of bingo following the way
of slot machines and table games, more
people are turning to the convenience of
the internet to play their games. People
like the fact that they don’t have to
sit there and watch their cards every
second, that they have the option of the
card filling itself automatically so
they can do other things while they are
trying to win.
But many people say that the whole
reason people went to play bingo was so
that they could socialize with other
people. But that hasn’t really changed
much. With chat rooms allowing people to
talk online as much as they want, some
are finding it better. When in the bingo
hall, many times you are shushed if you
are talking, as people are trying to
hear the numbers. Not so online – you
can talk through the entire game if you
want.
Plus, with high speed internet being
pretty much everywhere now, it isn’t
like people are playing over a dial up
connection anymore. The games move
quickly and combined with the chat room,
it is almost better than being there.
They are also able to add more and more
themes to their games, which they were
not really able to do in the live
parlor. Some have games surrounding
things like Deal or No Deal, or The
Price is Right, which people have a good
time playing.
