What
Do Casinos Sell?
When you
ask the question, “What do Las Vegas
casinos sell?” many people will start to
list things found in their retail stores
or restaurants. However, many do not
think of the big package. Casinos sell
much more then most patrons give them
credit for.
Casinos sell an entertainment package,
or a destination vacation gambling spot.
For the most part, they want to be all
inclusive so that people will come,
bring their families, and stay for
awhile. They have to make sure that
everything is not only pleasing to the
eye, but also to the people that they
want coming back again and again.
They sell gambling, obviously, because
that is what brings in the money.
Without slot machines, they really
aren’t a casino. For those that like the
tables, it is nice if a casino can offer
that as well. They sell all the other
things you see while you’re trying to
get to your slot machine as well.
They sell retail, hotel rooms, food,
drinks, etc. – anything non-gaming
related that they can hook you for. They
can offer bowling alleys, trips on a
fake gondola, clubs, golf, you name it -
anything in and around the casino that
they can use to make your experience
more pleasurable.
They sell the whole slot machine and
gambling experience. They sell an
experience unlike any other, so that
when you go home you can’t wait to come
back, and that is why casinos put
everything they have into making it a
one of a kind vacation so that you will
be thinking about it every day until you
come back.
