Slot Machines on Caffeine

Think of all of the fun that people the world over have playing slot machines. They pull the handle or push a button and with it come the excitement of waiting to see if their slot machine has hit it big or not. Now imagine that same slot machine on caffeine – for that is just what WMS Industries is trying to do.

The slot machine company’s showroom in Chicago is supercharged and super powered with many of their offerings out on display. But the company knows that the envelope can be pushed farther and is attempting to do so. When you step in the first thing you notice is their new Oz game based on the Wizard of Oz, and once you try it you will wonder why no one has come up with it before.

Simply listening to the sound of screaming monkeys and a bellowing Wizard is enough to get your pulse racing. You sit down in the game’s high backed vibrating chair and are immediately surrounded by a Bose surround sound system.

Now, vibrating chairs themselves are not new in the world of slot machines. However, you pair that with graphics and sound that have been updated and you are getting close to the latest from WMS. However, they still cannot hold a candle to the updates that they are moving toward.

In fact, they are adding something to slot machines that they have been built for but never used for – networking. No one has paired the internet with slot machines before – which seems crazy in this day and age. Adding the internet to slot machines is going to completely change the face of gaming as we currently know it – and it is going to be absolutely amazing when it happens.
