Rockingham Park Gets Slots, New
Hampshire Gets Jobs
The
representatives from the top five labor
unions in the state of New Hampshire
have come out in support of slot
machines. They say that bringing in slot
machines equates to bringing in more
jobs and they are all for it. They say
that their economy has long been under
siege by the lack of employment and the
troubles that are facing residents – and
slot machines could go a long way toward
fixing that.
They believe that by bringing in slot
machines that they will be able to
create not just the jobs that would come
from running the slot machines, but also
the ancillary ones as well. They say
that there are so many areas that are
currently facing severe cutbacks that
this could go a long way to starting the
recovery process and taking care of
those affected b the cutbacks
They say that the slot machines would be
responsible for construction jobs, more
police and fire jobs, etc. as well as
more jobs at the tracks. They say that
Rockingham Park in Salem has been trying
to get slot machines for some time now
and they completely support their
attempts. There has already been talk
from Millennium Gaming, who owns another
racetrack in PA, that they would
renovate the park if slot machines were
approved. That would mean a ton of new
jobs just from that project alone.
They say that they are representing all
of those workers who cannot find jobs
and are trying to feed their families.
They say that slot machines would help
their economy and give them much needed
jobs. They don’t understand why any one
would not approve it knowing how much it
would help their local residents.
