Slot Machines Coming to Atlantic City
Bally
Technologies, Inc. has announced that
they signed a deal with Trump
Entertainment Resorts Inc. for the Bally
eTICKET system to be installed in their
slot machine casinos in Atlantic City.
Bally Power Promotions, Bally Power
Winners, and Bally eTICKET will replace
the existing two-wire
ticket-in/ticket-out systems that are
currently at three Atlantic City
casinos. The system will affect more
than 8,000 slot machines.
Trump
Entertainment Resorts is having the new
technology put into the slot machines at
Trump Taj Mahal, Trump Marina, and Trump
Plaza. Each of the sections of the slot
machine technology will add a different
element to the player’s experience.
Bally Power Promotions will allow Trump
to offer downloadable slot machine
credits. Bally Power Winners will allow
Trump to offer custom random progressive
jackpots across all of its slot machine
floors.
Bally now
has more than 200,000 slot machines
worldwide using their eTICKET
technology. Bally already has over
345,000 slot machines running worldwide,
as well as 652 casino, bingo, Class II,
etc. locations over the world. "We are
now moving toward a 100-percent
market-share position in Atlantic City
with our single-wire ticketing [slot
machine] technology by replacing
previous two-wire ticketing systems,"
said Tom Reilly, Vice President, Eastern
Region System Sales for Bally. "This
consolidates accounting into the Bally
SMS system, subsequently increasing
customer-service levels while at the
same time providing an enhanced level of
operational efficiencies that couldn't
be achieved with a separate [slot
machine] ticketing system."
