Hobbyist or Professional Slot Machine
Player?
There
are two types of slot machine players –
those that play for fun, and those who
play to win. Now you might think that
they are the same thing, but they
aren’t. There are those that play the
slot machines for the fun of it, and if
they win – they are really happy. But if
they lose, they understand that this was
the chance they had taken and walk away
more the wiser.
Then
there are those who have to play the
slot machines; and they have to win.
They keep playing, hoping that the next
pull of the handle or push of the button
will be that ultimate jackpot. They
don’t stop until they have bet
everything, including the house, the
car, etc. Problem gamblers just keep
moving to higher and higher stakes slot
machines, hoping to win back some of the
money they have already lost.
There
are those of course who fall in the
crack between the two. Those that are
still having fun, but have already
headed down the slippery slope to slot
machine addiction. The problem is not
only are slot machines the most
addictive form of gambling, but you
don’t usually know you are developing a
problem with them until it is too late.
Those
with an addictive personality are
usually prone to becoming slot machine
addicts, as they are prone to becoming
addicted to all sorts of vices. However,
with slot machines being as addictive as
they are, if you know that you are of
that mindset, you should probably avoid
the slot machines all together.
