Slot Machine Figures

The Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs may have been running for only three days last week, but the slot machine casino has already brought in almost $1 million in tax revenue for the state of Pennsylvania.

According to the State Gaming Control Board, the breakdown is as follows:

State Tax Revenue: $928,000 at the close of business Thursday

Wagers and Winnings:

          Tuesday: $6.708 million wagered, $6.017 million paid out
          Wednesday: $5.393 million wagered, $4.824 million paid out
          Thursday: $4.068 million wagered, $3.640 million paid out.

Casino Revenue (after they pay out 55% in taxes):

          Tuesday: $311,000
          Wednesday: $256,000
          Thursday: $193,000
