Machine Fund Pays Out $36 Million
The Foxwood Resort
Casino has reported the best October
ever in slot machine revenue this week.
They normally report figures
significantly lower, and for some reason
they ended up making much more from
their slot machines than they have in
history for the month of October. The
Mohegan Sun reported lower numbers,
however.
Foxwoods announced
that they too in $69.6 million from $807
million out of 7,216 slot machines in
October. They increased their slot
machine revenue by $2.8 million. The
slot machines kept 8.62% of what was
played on them.
On the other hand,
the Mohegan Sun took in $74.35 million
from $807 million played on 6,197 slot
machines. That number is down roughly
$400,000 from last year, with the slot
machines keeping 8.39%.
Since the casinos
give 25% of their slot machine revenue
to the state, due to the compacts that
they have signed, Foxwoods gave $17.4
million and Mohegan Sun gave $18.6
million.
