Slot Machines and Smoking Go Hand in Hand

Everyone knows that slot machines and smoking seem to go hand in hand, but those that come to play the slot machines from other states might forget that. If you live in a state that has anti-smoking laws and you come to play the slot machines, you might be surprised to walk into the smoke filled rooms that hold the slot machines.

One of the attractions of Nevada is that there are a lot of things that you can do there that you cannot do anywhere else. You can gamble; you can pick up a prostitute; you can smoke while you play the slot machines. However, the times they are a changing, and with that change might go the ability to play the slot machines and smoke.

There is an initiative on the books for Nevada to eliminate smoking indoors – and it includes the bars, restaurants, and common places in the slot machine casinos. The measure is called Question 5 and is competing with another less restrictive measure called Question 4 – which would ban smoking indoors except for slot machine casinos. The fact that the ordinance would be a happy balance between the regular businesses and the slot machine casinos would be ideal for many.
