Changing Slot Machines Changes Revenue
When the
casinos got the idea to change from
money to ticket in/ticket out slot
machine technology, they thought they
were brilliant. However, it seems that
they may be losing money by losing the
actual cash slot machines.
Many players say that they don’t enjoy
playing the slot machines as much as
they used to as they just aren’t as much
fun. They say that they like the idea of
the coins all dumping into the bin below
them, and that watching a ticket go in
and out of your slot machine is not
nearly as much fun.
Revenues are down as well, so it is not
just a few people who are not enjoying
the new slot machines. Across the board,
more people are stepping forward saying
that they prefer the old slot machines
to the new ones. The casinos say that
the slot machines are better this way
for several reasons – they use less
electricity and their clients’ hands
don’t get dirty. They say that many
people were not happy with the way that
their hands would look from playing with
all of that dirty money. They say that
it is the economy that is forcing people
to not play the slot machines.
However, experts say that the slot
machines are losing money for a variety
of factors, and that the lack of coins
is one of them. They say that the
economy and gas prices are definitely
adding to it, but they say that you are
finding more and more people complaining
that the slot machines just aren’t as
much fun as they used to be.
