Calder Gets
their Slot Machines
Calder
Casino and Race Track in
Miami
is all kinds of thrilled today as they
have received the very first of their
slot machines from WMS Industries. The
slot machines have come to them all the
way from
Illinois
and they could not be happier. Many
residents have been waiting a long time
to see these slot machines come in, and
they are thrilled that the day is
finally here.
The
all new Calder Casino was lucky enough
to see 242 slot machines come in, and
they carted them in on five trucks. The
facility itself is still under
construction and will not be open for
business just yet – but they are hoping
that they will be able to open January
2010. When they are open they will have
a total of 1,225 slot machines for their
patrons to peruse.
The
slot machines will have denominations
that run from one penny to one dollar
and they feel that this is the best way
to offer them. They want to make them
accessible to everyone, so if they are
on a tighter budget they can come play
the penny slots and have a great time
without losing a lot of money.
The casino will have three
restaurants in addition to the slot
machines, for after all people have to
have somewhere on the premises to eat.
This
is the second racino to open in
Miami Dade County.
Initially when
Broward
County voted to allow slot
machines in, they voted not to. However,
once they saw how much money Broward County slot machines were bringing in,
they quickly changed their minds.
