Election and Slots on the Mind
This
Election Day there is a lot at stake.
Will our country turn to the Democrats
and Barack Obama, or will McCain
continue the Republican reign? It is
expected that this Election Day will see
more voter turnout than any election in
recent history.
Voters are registering in record
numbers, and for the first time in a
long time, places like Florida, Ohio and
Pennsylvania are being dominated by a
Democrat. But what does this mean for
the rest of the country in their small
town and state elections?
It means a lot if you are vying for slot
machines and relaxed online gambling
rules. If the Republicans get into
office you can count on four more years
of strangleholds on online gambling and
slot machines. However, if the Democrats
get in you might see legalization and
regulation, or you might see no change
at all. It’s a gamble in itself.
States like Maryland that are trying to
decide not only who our next President
might be, but also if they should take
the big step and legalize slot machines,
are looking at this Election Day with
awe and wonder. So much is at stake in
their state that is it hard not to think
of the day as either the second coming
or the end of the world.
Voters will have more power this time
than ever before – and when the dust
clears either slot machines will be
legal or they won’t. And either the
Democrats will win, or they won’t. Guess
we’ll have to wait and see.
