Rivers Casino
Is Not All That
The
state of Pennsylvania just can’t
seem to catch a break when it comes to
problems with the slot machines that
they have been trying to bring in. The
state had authorized 61,000 slot
machines to come in to various casinos
across the state in an attempt to both
the balance the budget and bring in
additional revenue for education and
other important programs.
However, they have had a hard time
getting the slot machine business up and
running. First it was all the problems
with bringing in slot machines into Philadelphia and the two casinos there were
slated to be built there. Residents
there have been fighting the state as
they say that the locations that were
picked are not amenable to them. Then he
are troubled by the amount of traffic
that would be brought in with these new
slot machine casinos and are trying to
get them moved to the outskirts of town.
Then,
the state got the Rivers Casino in and
residents hoped that it would be a lot
of fun as well as just simply a great
place to hang out. However the slot
machine casino has quickly gotten a not
so great reputation. It was expected to
become one of the most lucrative sites
for the state, however after having an
amazing opening its revenues quickly
dropped. Residents say that the food is
too expensive and the slot machines
don’t pay out nearly as much as they
should.
Now
the casino is finding itself trying to
bring in more revenue and more clients.
They have now added large group
incentives, shuttle rides, etc. to try
and bring their clients back in as many
of them say they won’t return as they
know they won’t win any money playing
their slot machines.
