Not to Worry Arundel 

The Baltimore based Cordish Company is trying to make residents in Anne Arundel County less nervous. They want to bring in slot machines and a casino, near their mall. However, residents are dead set against it. They say that by bringing in the slot machines, the company will also be bringing in crime to their town. 

The state would like to bring in a slot machine casino at that location but with so many residents fighting against it they don't know if they can. Residents say that with the slot machines will come increased crime and traffic to their area, something they can ill afford. Many homeowners are very upset because they say that there is already enough traffic around the mall area, and what is now a nice hangout for families will be a more dangerous place to be. 

The casino developers try to assure them that by bringing in 4,750 slot machines that they will be bringing in a place of entertainment. They tried to assure them that they would not be bringing in crime, although they agreed that there would be an increase in traffic. However, they say that the amount of traffic that comes in will be similar to that which they are already experiencing at the mall. 

Residents disagree, leaving the state to try and figure out whether or not this is ever going to happen. Residents say that they will continue to fight against the slot machine invasion, as they want a county that they can feel safe allowing their children to go to the mall and not have to worry about the crime that will be coming from the nearby casino.
